Now this part sucks for me, "The deal misses the ultra-early-adopters by almost a month, as the system launched November 22, 2005 in North America, but the vast majority of owners will still be able to benefit." Since I got my on the release night, during Thanksgiving week last year.
Microsoft extended yours to one year a little while ago. Byrdman got the red light of death about a month ago and it was covered, of course, that was a month ago. You might consider calling MS and claiming a red light and see what happens?
