The new cooler 65nm "Falcon" chip is being manufactured as we speak and is due out in te next few months; probably just in time for Christmas. Unfortunately the new Halo 3 Edition Xbox will not come with the new chip but it will come with an added heat sink and a quieter BenQ DVD-drive.
There have been reports of an even smaller 45nm chip that will come out in late 2008.

Freakin' ridiculous it's taken this long to make this much progress. i still haven't got my refund check for the 360 repair a few months back. I love the 360 games, but I really hate MS for putting out such an unreliable POS.
