Frontlines: FOW 'Infantry' HD
Here is a cool video that I found online. This game looks to have good potential as a FPS. Frontlines: Fuel of War is an open-ended first person shooter set in the next gen war. Set in a fictional future based upon the headlines of today, players assume the role of an elite soldier in the Western Coalition Army on an epic crusade against the Red Star Alliance to control the lifeblood of the world's economy. Frontlines: Fuel of War combines intensely cinematic, non-linear gameplay, with next generation firepower and a revolutionary Frontline Combat System to deliver the most thrilling and engaging FPS to date. There is a demo that you can download on XBOX Live.

Xbox 360 Fall Dashboard Update to Bring Friends Lists
Expand Your Xbox LIVE Network of Pals by browsing the Friends lists of other Xbox LIVE members
New Experience to be made available on December 4th with the Xbox 360 Fall Dashboard Update
Microsoft is making it even easier to expand your Friends network on Xbox LIVE, starting with the Fall Dashboard Update on December 4th. Members will now be able to check out the friends lists of fellow Xbox LIVE members right from the Dashboard. With this new feature, members can find old friends or connect with new ones within the community of more than 8 million people on Xbox LIVE around the globe and send messages and game invites, as well as compare games and Achievements.
With the prevalence of social media websites such as MySpace and FaceBook, this type of capability has largely come to be expected from consumers as a means to relate in an online community. Xbox LIVE continually seeks new ways to better serve the expectations of its members, which often result in enhancements made available for free through the bi-annual Dashboard updates.
When the Fall Dashboard update is distributed on December 4th, the new default setting on Xbox LIVE will be active enabling members to see the Friends lists of other Xbox LIVE members. Members who would like to keep their friends list private can take the following steps to change their settings beginning today:
Log in to www.xbox.com/fof and select one of the three options available for your Gamertag:
* Everyone (only available to members 18 and older) * Friends only (available to members 13 and older) * Blocked (available to all members, and automatic for anyone under the age of 13)

Earlier today, Microsoft Game Studios announced that the DLC Bungie has been working on will be available December 11th to the tune of 800 Microsoft points. The Heroic Map pack is comprised of the first three maps of our intended downloadable suite to support Halo 3’s multiplayer. Christopher Barrett, (AKA Barry) the creative director of Downloadable Content and Steve Cotton, the DLC design lead answered a host of questions, some reasonable, some borderline nonsense to give folks a little better idea about what they are seeing when they look at the three screenshots of the maps we’ve released (there will be more coming sometime after the Thanksgiving holiday).
A quick note about how Matchmaking will work:
When Halo 2's downloadable content joined the Internet, it effectively split the Matchmaking population into the "haves" and the "have-nots," Bungie was readily aware of the problem that caused, and has rectified it in Halo 3. First, when downloadable content arrives, it will have its own playlist for those folks who just want to play with their new toys. Simultaneously all of the DLC maps will be rolled in to the regular Matchmaking playlists as well and then as folks are getting matched up, the game will take into account who has what maps in the matchmaking process. So you'll see Team Slayer on Standoff show up in the Team Slayer hopper as well as in the new DLC-focused playlist.
Foundry
Q: Foundry is completely different from any map Bungie has made for a Halo game, how so?
CB: Foundry was designed from the beginning to be a Forge level. There is an almost limitless amount of potential map designs that can be made by arranging objects in different configurations.
You can remake Hang ‘Em High out of crates. Kind of.
SC: The second you see someone delete the entire level in Forge, you realize the potential a space like this has. The default layout Tyson put together is great, but the possibilities are definitely greater.
Q: Was Foundry’s art inspired by areas from a Campaign space like Rat’s Nest?
CB: We loved the feel of the Warehouse area in the campaign [on Voi] and it really made for an ideal playground that could be filled with lots of modular crates.
Q: Tom Doyle called the Forge objects for Foundry “Legos” – what kinds of items are players going to have at their disposal?
SC: Legos that look like all the things you might find in a Warehouse in Halo.
CB: All the things you’ll need to make a great multiplayer playground. Man-sized crates, walls, fences, stairs, bridges, and of course fusion coils.
I wouldn’t trust anything Tom Doyle says if I were you. He’s shifty.
Q: What’s the default set-up on Foundry? What’s it built for?
CB: The layout that will be include with the map is set up to work well to support as many gametypes as possible. But once players get a hold of it with Forge I can’t wait to see what people will do with it!
Q: It’s not a huge map so what’s the ideal player count for Foundry’s shenanigans?
CB: I can’t think of anything funny to say about this question other than being impressed you somehow fit shenanigans into one of the questions.
SC: 4-12. Unless you're Barry and then probably 1. Playing Halo isn't the only thing he does by himself.
Q: In daily playtests, what gametypes have been the most successful on Foundry?
CB: Most gametypes work great on Foundry. I definitely had some memorable Territories and Assault games.
Kill Barry, repeatedly, has been a popular one.
SC: Yes. Kill Barry. As well as traditional Slayer and CTF.
Q: Rat’s Nest, that sounds like Crow’s Nest, the second level from the Halo 3 campaign, surely this isn’ t a coincidence – but it’s also not simply reused space, what’s the deal?
CB: We really wanted to create an indoor multiplayer level, something we hadn’t done a lot of in Halo 3 and the setting of Crow’s Nest was a perfect fit.
SC: Rat's Nest is a great example of a simple idea that turned out to be a great map. And it was only a simple idea because Barry came up with it.
CB: We felt that the single-player mission wasn’t long enough so we wanted to make you play through it again over and over in multiplayer.
Q: It’s a pretty big map with a lot of smaller, tighter combat spaces, how do art and design create those spaces and make sure they play nicely?
CB: A lot of testing and iteration. We also wanted to give a nice balance to larger open spaces where big battles can occur with vehicles and also allow some close quarters combat. The combination really worked great.
The first part of this question makes me feel weird. I’m not sure why.
Q: What kind of items will populate Rat’s Nest’s Forge palette?
CB: A hamster wheel and wood shavings.
SC: Who hasn't always wanted to drive a Scorpion tank inside.
Q: What’s been the biggest change in Rat’s Nest from the prototype/concept phase to the “ship it” phase?
CB: Originally the entire map was indoor and underground. We had the idea of opening up the wall to let in the sunlight, give an epic view and create a memorable space. Doing that really added a lot to the visual feel of the level.
We almost forgot to put any rats in the level.
SC: That better not be why we were losing performance!
Q: What’s the ideal player count for Rat’s Nest?CB: 6-16 Players, it will really add to the Big Team Battle matchmaking hoppers online.
Q: Which gametypes have worked the best? What would you guys like to see in Matchmaking?
SC: The typical symmetrical games work well, Multi-flag, Territories, Neutral bomb, Team Slayer.
Q: For reasons that should become obvious now, Frankie referred to Standoff as Jodrell Bank. What inspired the creation of this outdoor playground?
Christopher Barrett: Standoff, or Bunkerworld as it’s known internally was one of the maps we had originally planned as one of the Halo 3 release multiplayer maps. Because of time we ended up postponing it until DLC, and here it is!
Steve Cotton: We wanted a small, outdoor, vehicle map. It started out simple enough. 2 relatively small bases seperated by a landscape of hills and rocks. Good visibility and quick access to the Warthog parked right out front. And a turret on top for defensive types. After that, the rest just built itself. Actually, Justin [Hayward] built it. That guy is good.
CB: Obvious? I still have no idea why Frankie keeps talking about his bank all the time [ed. Google Image Search – L.S.].
Q: Give us a general description of the map’s spaces since we’re not showing too much right now, what’s the overview of Standoff?
CB: There’s two opposing bases and some rocks and a tree and a road and some giant missile silos and enormous satellite dishes.
SC: Oh, and a lot of transportation and firepower.
CB: Imagine Blood Gulch, except squished together, with 4000 foot satellite dishes.
Q: What sort of revisions and iterations changed from early-period Standoff to the version of the map that folks will be playing in December?
CB: The original version only had the two front doors into the base. We eventually added two side routes into the base one of which is opened via a switch inside like Zanzibar/Last Resort.
Originally the sun was at or around high noon, about a month ago we lowered the sun towards the horizon giving the map a very moody sunset feel which really adds to its atmosphere.
We weren’t satisfied with two ways into the bunker so we added a third entry.
Q: How many players can Standoff comfortably accommodate?
CB: Surprisingly it works for almost any number of players pretty well, but 4 vs 4 feels about right.
SC: 2v2 Multi-flag is actually very cool. So is 8v8. I think it pretty much covers the spectrum. It's just a very fun team objective map no matter how big the teams are.
CB: I was very comfortable playing a one player game on Standoff but it wasn’t a whole lot of fun. At least I didn’t die as much as usual.
Q: What are some of your favorite gametypes to play on Standoff?
CB: Multi Flag CTF
SC: Kill Barry.
CB: I found out your teammates love it when you yell out “I CAN’T FIND THE FLAG” during team slayer games.
Q: What kind of items will populate Standoff’s Forge palette?
CB: Apart from the standard crates and barricades we’ve created some new placeable mancannons, shield doors, and a very special secret object.
SC: You can add a Wraith as well. In addition to the mancannons of course.

Video Capture Service.
I know that on more than one occassion the idea of Shade showing us all the Pink Death that he inflicted the night before has been brought up. Now GeeVee is offering that service as a Beta. Click the title above and fill out the form and they will convert your fileshare clip over to a clip that can be embedded. I haven't tried it out yet but I may send them something tomorrow and see how this works out.

Starting on December 4, all Xbox LIVE members will receive a free system update with a host of new features and enhancements. Included in this update will be the launch of the Xbox Originals, which, for the first time ever, will enable consumers to download and own full Xbox games , such as Halo® , Psychonauts™, Crimson Skies®: High Road to Revenge™, and Fable ® among others directly to their Xbox 360. This new service will launch with an array of blockbuster titles spanning the most popular genres from action-adventure to classic role-playing games.
With no disc necessary, and at just 1,200 Microsoft Points per game, Xbox LIVE members can easily rediscover these hit titles, or check out a game they missed the first time around. This launch line-up is only the beginning as Xbox 360 owners can expect to see a growing catalogue of Xbox games for download to own over the coming year.

Halo3 First Map Pack Dated
Microsoft announced today that the first map pack for Halo 3 will arrive on Dec. 11 as part of the Heroic Map Pack, the first in a series of downloadable content from Bungie Studios to come via Xbox Live. Available for 800 Microsoft Points, each map presents a totally different play style:
Standoff’s symmetrical valley, with its entrenched bases and fields of boulders is ideal for mid-sized objective and Slayer game types, while Rat’s Nest’s vast, labyrinthine passages bring something new to the “Halo” multiplayer experience: an indoor vehicle paradise, strongly influenced by the Campaign mode, ideal for big team battles. Finally, Foundry is the ultimate Forge map – players can edit every single object in this voluminous industrial warehouse, place stairways, walls, bridges and tunnels to create an entirely new play space and build almost any kind of map they can think of.
All three maps will become available for free download via Xbox Live Marketplace in Spring 2008, just prior to the next wave of all new “Halo 3” multiplayer maps.

2OLD 2PWN Halo 3 Leaderboard
I took the liberty of creating a custom leaderboard over at StatsReloaded. It should update sometime overnight (around 2 am) and will keep up with records from here on out. If I read correctly it only reads your last 25 games, so bad games will drop off your score over time.
If your tag is not on the list or you guys want some other tags added let me know and I will throw them on here. If your tag is on the list and you want it removed, let me know and I will get it taken off.
Let the fraggin' begin!

Carnage last night on Halo 3
Well last night was some good times as usual. Shade helped Raider X and Mrs. Chief find some more skulls. Only 1 skull left to get to complete the set. IWHBYD here we come. So after we searched and also played some campaign with BCDaD we decided it was time to blow off some steam. Here is where the real fun starts!! After getting a cool still picture for posterity we began the desecration of each other. Above you will notice some nice picks.
Pic #1 is our little photo op.
Pic #2 is Shade and Raider X about to rumble.
Pic #3 is Shade begging for Mercy, which Raider X was not in a forgiving mood.
Pic #4 is Raider X saying a little prayer for the departed.
And lastly Pic #5 is Shade seeking his revenge. Of which he had plenty as usual!
I realize I am opening a flood gate. But I can deal. Hahahaha.
See you guys online soon.

Marathon Man Achievement
To get the "Marathon Man" achievement you must access all eight terminals scattered throughout the game. These terminals hold information about their forerunners and their battle to survive before ever firing the Halo rings for the first time.
If you access all the terminals you will unlock the "Marathon Man" achievement which will give you 40 gamer points. Here are the locations of all eight terminals:
- 3 Terminals on "The Ark" level
- 4-6 Terminals on "The Covenant" level
- 1 Terminal on the Final level
- Terminal #8 on the "Cortana" level
FYI: I did activate all the terminals but I didn't get the achievement. It is because after I read the first message I didn't wait 10 seconds for the other message. From what I have read if you do this for all eight terminals you should get the Marathon Man achievement.

Halo 3 Skull Locations
Hopefully this might help someone who hasn't captured all the skulls yet on Halo 3. There are a total of 13 hidden skulls in Halo 3. There are 9 skulls that are gold and 4 skulls are silver. And there are two unknown skulls or blind skulls that don't seem to unlock anything.
Skulls were first introduced in Halo 2, where picking up a hidden skull in the “Legendary” game difficulty would create an undesirable effect against the player; such as not being able to see anything on their HUD.
In Halo 3, skulls can be found scattered throughout the levels on Normal, Heroic, and Legendary difficulty settings. Picking up “Golden” skulls will also unlock an achievement on the Xbox 360.
After picking up a skull in the game, you can enable the skull’s effects in Meta Games, which will in turn multiply your meta game score.
Overall, Skulls can make for a very interesting play experience, and really help to show who is the Master of the game through meta game scores.
Click here for more details on all 13 hidden skull locations.
Here is also a video on YouTube that shows 13 out of 12 skulls plus the Marathon Man achievement.
Since the YouTube Video doesn't actually show the name of the level the skulls are found on here they are:
Gold Skulls
- Iron Skull: This skull is located at the very end of the first level, “Sierra 117"
- Black Eye Skull: This Skull is located in the beginning of the second level “Crow’s Nest”, the very room you start in.
- Tough Luck Skull: This skull can be found on the third level, at the point in the level when the huge covenant cruiser flies overhead.
- Catch Skull: This skull can be found on the fourth level, in the first area where you need to destroy the Wraith tanks.
- Fog Skull: The Fog Skull is found on the level “Floodgate“, at the very beginning of the level.
- Famine Skull: You can find this skull on the sixth level, near the point where the path you follow branches off into two sections; This skull requires a bit of grenade jumping skill/luck.
- Thunderstorm Skull: This skull can be found on the level, “The Covenant”, after you take command of one of the Hornet vehicles.
- Mythic Skull: It is located in the very beginning of the final level in Halo 3.
Silver Skulls
- Blind Skull: This skull the first of the Silver Skulls in Halo 3, and can be found in the first mission, “Sierra 117″. It is located relatively close to the beginning of the mission.
After your first encounter with the Gold Armor Brute, Two enemy dropships will appear a bit further down the stream. Go towards the dropship that is furthest away, and stay on the right side of the stream. Continue along the right (towards the cliff edge), and a rock will jut out a bit over the large lake. The Blind Skull is located on this rock. - Grunt Birthday Party Skull: This is one of the more fun Silver Skulls in Halo 3. This skull is located on the second mission, “Crow’s Nest”, just before the area where you team up with the Arbiter (it’s the piping area where you see Drones buzzing in and out of an array of pipes). just before you jump down the pipe to meet up with the Arbiter, stop at the ledge, and look directly below you. Along the wall that you drop down, there is a small ledge with a green arrow pointing backwards. Jump onto this ledge (rather than all the way down), and go inside this secret room. The skull is in the dead center of the room.
- Cowbell Skull: The “Cowbell Skull” is found on the level “The Ark”, and marks the third Silver Skull found in the game. It’s fairly far into the level, so it takes a bit of time to find it. Begin by heading all the way to the part of the level where you battle the Scarab. After defeating it, look in the middle of the desert area which you battled it in for a fairly large structure (it’s the building you see if you are at the bottom of the ramp you are supposed to go up, and turn to look in the opposite direction). Inside of this structure are several Gravity Lifts (shown below). Take one of these for later. Next, head up the huge ramp, and head inside of the building (the one with the cartographer inside). Pass through a few of the rooms in this building, and you’ll eventually come to a room with a whole lot of Explosive crates. Right after this room is a Staircase/Hallway that leads to the level below. The Skull is located at the top of the room, at the point where you turn on the staircase to head for the next part of the slope. There are four platforms above you, the Skull is on the uppermost of these platforms. Use the Gravity Lift to jump up to it, and there you have it!
- IWHBYD Skull: The Skull is located in the level, “The Covenant”. After defeating the Scarabs, and going inside, get to the location with all 7 Ring Holograms. You must jump through the rings in a specific order. That order is as follows (1 is at the entrance, 7 is at the end): 4 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 5 - 3 - 4 . After jumping through them in this sequence, you will be awarded the “I Would Have Been Your Daddy Skull”. It will be right next to the bridge that brings you over to the Prophet of Truth.
Tyson Green from Bungie.net has confirmed that the Hayabusa, or “Samurai” Helmet is unlocked with the skulls.

How to Poster-ize your friends on Halo 3!
My friend Shade has emailed me instructions on how to download pictures to his desktop of actual footage from a Halo 3 game he played last night.
Basically what Shade did was...
- go to the Theater lobby
- look up recent films
- find the film you want to view, highlight it and Save it
- once it's saved, you can view the film
- while viewing it, you can use different controls to follow each player, or float the camera
- at any point you can freeze the movie and take a snapshot; also while moving the camera view, rotating, zooming, etc.
- once I had saved off some screenshots, I went to the File Share option
- from there, click a slot and select the screenshots to upload
- once they're uploaded, you can go to your profile on www.bungie.net and view your shared files; I dunno about movies, but for pix it gives you the option to download them.

"My Other Car is a Warthog"
I found out where they sell these Halo themed license plate frames...Bungie of course. And as luck would have it they are currently out of stock.
Check out this funny video of some dude driving an actual warthog but he gets into a little fender-bender.

Halo 3 Ending Leaked
Well just as you can expect someone recently uploaded a video of the Halo 3 ending...coincidence, I think not!
Anyways I didn't put the link up because I didn't want to be the guy that spoiled the ending for everyone.
I personally am hoping Bungie released an "Alternate Ending" to thwart a-holes like this one.

Man dies after 3-day gaming binge
BEIJING, China (AP) -- A man in southern China appears to have died of exhaustion after a three-day Internet gaming binge, state media said Monday.
The 30-year-old man fainted at a cyber cafe in the city of Guangzhou Saturday afternoon after he had been playing games online for three days, the Beijing News reported.
Paramedics tried to revive him but failed and he was declared dead at the cafe, it said. The paper said that he may have died from exhaustion brought on by too many hours on the Internet.
The report did not say what the man, whose name was not given, was playing.
The report said that about 100 other Web surfers "left the cafe in fear after witnessing the man's death."
China has 140 million Internet users, second only to the U.S.. It is one of the world's biggest markets for online games, with tens of millions of players, many of whom hunker down for hours in front of PCs in public Internet cafes.
Several cities have clinics to treat what psychiatrists have dubbed "Internet addiction" in users, many of them children and teenagers, who play online games or surf the Web for days at a time.Lets not be a statistic gentlemen! On Sept 25th remember to get some shut eye eventually!
What a way to go out. I hope when I die it is from something heroic! Not via video games - Raider X

Accurate Mjolnir Battle Armor Costume on Sale on eBay
An accurate replica of the Halo Mjolnir Battle Armor is currently on sale on eBay. At the time of this writing, the current bid is $2,000. Below is the description for the item:
You are bidding on the best and most accurate Master Chief Costume on Ebay. This suit is my own personal suit that I am now giving up. The suit is so awesome, it has been featured on Spike TV, G4 TV, and in a Dell Commercial. This suit is FAMOUS!
Now it can be yours. The suit is made from a very hard Urethane Plastic. It isn't one of those cheaply casted vacuumformed suits. You could probably pound in a nail with your forearm if you wanted to. I'm 6"1' in the pictures, so you can figure out how well it might fit you from that.
The costume includes:
* Chest/Back Piece
* Shoulders
* Forarms
* Hand Plates
* Belt/Cod Piece/2 Belt Pouches
* Thighs
* Shins
* Ankles
* Toe Plates
* Boots
* Assault Rifle Display

TARGET, XBOX 360 AND CHIP GANASSI RACING TO FEATURE HALO 3 PAINT SCHEME DURING SNEAK PEEK NASCAR WEEKEND AT DOVER
Select Drivers to Get Chance to Finish the Fight Before Anyone Else
MINNEAPOLIS, MN – September 13, 2007 – Target, Microsoft and Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates (CGRFS) announced today that the No. 40 car will feature an exclusive "Halo 3"-themed paint scheme during the Dover 400 Nextel Cup Series race at Dover International Speedway on Sunday, Sept. 23. As fans throughout the world line up for the blockbuster Xbox 360 title, CGRFS driver David Stremme will showcase a distinctly designed paint scheme in advance of the game’s much anticipated release on Tuesday, Sept. 25.
"I'm honored and excited to be running the 'Halo 3' car at Dover and can’t wait to show off this awesome paint scheme," said Stremme. "It's going to be a special experience when the car rolls off the truck for the first time at Dover – as a Halo fan, I'm thrilled."
In addition to the special paint scheme in the Nextel Cup race on Sunday, Target and Microsoft are giving select drivers the chance to play "Halo 3," one of the most anticipated video games of all time, before it releases to the public.
"Target is proud to partner with Microsoft to bring some 'Halo 3' excitement to Dover race fans before the much anticipated release date," said Target Senior Buyer, Troy Peterson. "We expect this to be one of our largest gaming releases ever."
"Halo 3," the final chapter in the groundbreaking "Halo" trilogy, is set to shatter day-one entertainment sales records when it is released worldwide beginning Tuesday, Sept. 25. Created by legendary developer Bungie Studios and exclusive to the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system, "Halo 3" will set a new standard for interactive storytelling and social gaming by engaging consumers worldwide in the epic battle of Master Chief(TM) to save humankind.
In November 2004, the world’s view of video games changed forever with the release of "Halo 2," which generated a record-setting $125 million (U.S.) in sales within the first 24 hours and changed the way people think about interactive entertainment. Three years later, it remains the most-played game on Microsoft’s Xbox LIVE® online gaming and entertainment network, with nearly 1 billion hours of online gaming logged to date.

Help ME.....
I am checking out this site 360Elite4free.com that claims they will send me an xbox360 for free. I read an article about this site on a forum and they say its legit and they don't sell your info or solicit advertisement.
Basically you sign up to their program; name address and email, and one trial membership (I chose Gamefly for 8 bucks) then refere ten others to do the same, and whalaa free xbox Elite. If some of yall would help me out and sign up to see if this thing is real, I will be the guinea pig.
Please make sure its a level A offer and use only this link to get there, (it has my referral code). The sign up box with my number is at the bottom right hand corner of the page, and will lead you through the process(takes about 5 minutes).Make sure you pick the referral system and not the points system when you sign up.
Please try it out and refer anyone you might think would be interested in any of the offers to it as well. When you sign up please comment on the blog or email me so that I can make sure that it goes through and is legit.

Stupid People Doing Stupid Things
Okay, we need a thread about how dumb some people are. Ever get the urge to throttle someone? I mean, ever see something and just feel like jumping out of your car with a bat, hammering someone's window in and screaming, "WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?!?"
So I'm driving back from the store today, and I see a perfect example of a self-righteous bumper sticker. There's a mini-van in front of me, and it has a bumper sticker on it saying, "Safety First, No Cellphones!". It has a big picture of a cellphone in a circle with a line through it. Brilliant. The first thing that crossed my mind is...it's not cellphones that cause accidents, it's the stupid mental distraction of people too dumb to walk and chew bubblegum in the first place. And as I take a closer look through the back of the mini-van, I see a classic vision. The driver isn't using a cellphone (Safety First!). Oh no, no. Instead, the driver has their left arm leaning out of the window, holding a napkin wrapped donut, which they occasionally lean into to munch on. Oh yes, that's so much safer than a cellphone, you freakin' IDIOT!!!
Anyone else seen stupid people lately?

Sept. 25th? What're we gonna do?
Okay, so are we going to do anything when H3 comes out, or are we just going to wait until that Friday? I'd love to do the 4 player co-op, but if there's a bunch of us on, multi-player's the way to go. Work permitting, I'll probably be on every night that week. Anyone else?

Halo's Gone Gold!
Halo 3 for Xbox 360 has gone Gold! That means we delivered a final version to our internal certification group that passed all the tests and is now being whisked away to top secret manufacturing locations to be turned into retail versions of the game – and eventually packaged and sent to stores in various cases, tins and cat-helmets. We can’t wait to share it with you guys on September 25th and 26th, but we have to say thanks.
We have to say thanks to everyone at Bungie who worked so hard to make this the best game we've ever made. We have to say thanks to everyone at Microsoft who helped us make it the best game we ever made. We have to say thanks to our tireless team of artists, designers, engineers, musicians, technicians, writers, directors, producers, thinkers, administrators, ninjas, specialists, gorillas, webmasters and pimps. We’re a family and we made this game for you, our extended family. We hope you like it. Nobody deserves any more recognition than anyone else, but an extra special thanks goes out anyway, to the test team who got it to this stage, in a pool of their own sweat, tears and blood.
And of course, we wouldn't be here today without the tireless devotion of our fan community - we thank you all as well for supporting Bungie Studios in our never ending quest for World Domination and we look forward to sharing another billion+ hours together on Xbox Live when Halo 3 lands in just a few short weeks. The wait is almost over.
We Finished our Fight. Your fight begins in 27 days.
Are you ready?

Two Worlds
For all of those Bio Shock owners here is what i thought of Two Worlds the game that I bought instead of Bio Shock.
If you are a fan of RPG's then you will like this game. There are some drawbacks though, some of the voice audio is rather stupid/poor, and there is not a lot of character appearance customizations. However I just bought the game on Sunday and played it for 4 hrs straight and had a hell of a time. From what I have seen so far is awesome. The graphics are amazing there are no loading screens when moving into a town or building. Everything is done real time. The only loading that takes place is every once in a while the game will pause for a second and a disc icon comes up on the lower right screen to load something but it is very brief, and not that often. I have not played any of the multilayer yet and probably will not just because i have a game for that(Gears....and in the future Halo #3). However if you are wanting a game for exploration, fun, story, and graphics, then this game is a good game to get/rent until Halo 3 comes out.

New Falcon Chipset will Come Out Soon
The new cooler 65nm "Falcon" chip is being manufactured as we speak and is due out in te next few months; probably just in time for Christmas. Unfortunately the new Halo 3 Edition Xbox will not come with the new chip but it will come with an added heat sink and a quieter BenQ DVD-drive.
There have been reports of an even smaller 45nm chip that will come out in late 2008.

Flame Thrower - 13itches
Can anyone say smoke 'em if you got one!!!
This looks like a lot of fun.
Here are the details from Bungie.net
M7057 / Defoliant Projector
Official Designation: M7057/DP
Length (o/a): 116.8 cm (46 in.)
Weight (empty): 45.8 kg (101 lbs)
Weight (loaded): 55.5 kg (122.5 lbs)
Cartridge: Pyrosene-V
Max. effective range: 13.4 meters (44 ft)
Magazine capacity: 9 x three-second bursts
Unit Replacement Cost: cR. 1,520.00
Description:
The M7057/DP is a standard chemical flamethrower, which projects and ignites a stream of a volatile, semi-liquid fuel. Flamethrowers are cumbersome and relatively difficult to use (psychologically as well as mechanically).
Observations:
Referring to the M7057/DP as a weapon[1] is a bit of a misnomer as the dee pea in its nomenclature indicate that it is a defoliant projector—to be used to rapidly clear away heavy foliage for in-theater construction projects and to destroy new or persistent growth from emplaced and/or hardened military assets. That having been said; despite being all but obsolete militarily its effectiveness as a psychological weapon is undeniable—unfortunately the psychological effect is a double-edged sword.
Remarks:
“makes short work of weeds and thickets—but I wouldn’t carry one into combat. Not on your life.”
“I can see where it would be real effective in ousting dug in troops, but you aren’t gonna be making any friends using it that way.”
“I don’t see where carrying around a big can of super-flammable stuff right next to my xxxx is such a good idea.”
“You know those things ship with a cart, right? You aren’t expected to carry them anywhere… they are not a weapon that you use on people… not even on alien people.”
“I hate me some baby kongs, and I will kill every man Jack of ‘em that I see, but I don’t think I could burn ‘em—best to draw the line somewhere and that seems like it.”
“Foxtrots die pretty quick once you put the fire to ‘em. We ought ‘a burn ‘em all. Low-life bastards. Burn all those low-life alien foxtrots.”
“Gotta get too close for it to be any use offensively—if you’re gonna use it as a weapon best to use it in a defensive role—fill up passages and weak-points in your perimeter with fire.”
“It takes a certain kind’a lunatic to use a flamethrower… all I’m sayin’.”
[1] That the M7057/DP has been frequently pressed into service as a primitive energy weapon of sorts is a distressing but irrefutable fact. It is one in a very small number of items available to UNSC personnel that remotely earmarks the user for a full battery of psychological tests.
Oh the HUMANITY!!!
Come on Sept 25th...........
